The UK’s premier classical music picnic proms with a difference will take place at Althorp Park overlooking the impressive architecture of the House and Stables on Saturday 11th August 2012. The Battle Proms will include Spitfire, cannons, cavalry and fireworks.
This is the 5th annual Althorp Park Battle Proms Concert, all of which have been a resounding success. The highlights of this special event includes the Napoleonic Cavalry and Infantry displays, 200 live cannons, the world renowned Blades Aerobatic aerial display and a sing along proms finale. There will also be a celebration of the Diamond Jubilee with a Gun Salute fired manually by a team of gunners from a vintage QF Field Gun.
The events commence at 6.30pm with the music programme running from 7.30 to 10.00pm.
It is regarded as the most exciting proms concert in the country and is a wonderful excuse to pack the picnic basket with a bottle of fizz included and enjoy a wonderful summer nights treat with family and friends.
