A new report published on the HBAA website talked about how the ‘Demand for Serviced Apartments are Outstripping Supply’. This demand is as a result of the corporate market driving business travel and relocation requirements for temporary housing. This article looks at the steps Cotels haven taken into overcoming some of the principal barriers to growth within the industry.
The report found that there are currently three principal barriers to the growth of the serviced apartment business sector. These are a shortage of apartments at required locations, limited online booking capabilities and a lack of understanding about the serviced apartment market itself.
Cotels have been monitoring the growing need for serviced apartments over the past decade and have adapted our business plan accordingly by increasing availability in the Milton Keynes, Northampton and Luton serviced apartment markets. An online Booking Service launched onto Cotels website has also assisted corporates to make speedy business travel apartment reservations.
Cotels continually strive to set standards based on those of industry guidelines and customer expectations. All staff are fully trained on all areas of services offered from apartment cleaning and maintenance to those on the reception desk.
Apartments are all stylishly furnished and equipped with the essentials required for a comfortable stay. Cotels range of serviced apartments receive a fresh coat of paint at the first sign that they are looking grubby. Great pride is taken in appearance and presentation. However, our ‘Terms and Conditions‘ policy does request that guests treat apartments as if they were in their own homes.
Social media sites, ongoing communication with Corporate Travel departments and our presence on many business and travel related websites are all part of Cotels marketing strategy to promote the positive features of the Serviced Apartment Industry.
Cotels continue to strive to meet the demands of both guest and industry at a time when demand is growing.
