ASAP Conference and why Cotels attended as a serviced apartment provider

The 5th annual Association of Serviced Apartment Providers (ASAP) conference was held in London earlier this month and we went along to meet the 300 delegates and 34 exhibitors who attended. With the high number of attendees, this was by far their biggest conference to date.

Cotels joined ASAP at it’s outset and since then it’s membership and sponsorship have grown allowing them to be significant players in the hospitality industry. Their mission is to be recognised as the primary association representing, promoting and improving the provision of serviced apartments.

Sonya and Louise from Cotels Reservations and our MD, Marcia were there to meet with many fellow industry contacts as well as to make new acquaintances during the networking break-out sessions.

ASAP-Conference-1The seminars were really useful, covering lots of topics about the industry including operational, as well as legislative – not to mention the ones about marketing and even the trials and tribulations associated with house-keeping!

As a provider of executive serviced apartments in Milton Keynes, Northampton and Luton, the conference also presented us with an excellent opportunity to meet with a number of suppliers and sponsors to find out what’s new in the industry IT-wise as well as the latest in products and where to access them. Such things as hotel-style beds, bedding and cleaning products are important to use to make sure we are keeping up with the latest trends to continue to provide the best quality products in our serviced apartments.

Cotels have adopted this new package offering not only all of the Sports channels including the F1 channel, but all of the movie channels too. This is currently being implemented at all of our 7 locations. Just another improvement and benefit we offer to our guests at no additional cost and adding even more value to your serviced apartment stay.

After the hustle and bustle of the day’s events and seminars, we attended the ASAP awards dinner, which is only the second time one has been held. It was good to see others in the industry being recognised for various achievements and the 3 course meal and glass of bubbly were a bonus too!
