Winter is well and truly on the way and, dare we say it, the thought of Christmas is making us feel very festive here at Cotels. Thinking of activities, like pantomimes or something a bit more unusual, for all the family can be tricky in these chilly months – no more days out to the seaside or long walks in the sun.
But, for those living in or near Northampton, Christmas time can be full of theatrical fun for all the family, thanks to the multitude of theatres close by.
Here’s what’s on offer this Christmas….
Fancy a laugh or two?
This month, The Deco is hosting a Christmas party that promises to be full of hilarity, food and entertainment.
Only Fools and 3 Courses will be held on November 29th in 2017, and revellers can expect to have a laugh with friends as they watch some of the finest comedians and eat a delicious three-course meal all in the style of Only Fools and Horses – lovely jubbly!
‘Tis the season for a night on the town
Did you enjoy Strictly Come Dancing this year? If so, Strictly Northampton 2017 at the Royal & Derngate is not to be missed! Local contestants will be performing Latin American and Ballroom dance, in competition for the Strictly Northampton Glitterball trophy. Don’t forget your dancing shoes!
Or, if you’re looking for a night out without the children, why not go and see Ruby Wax or Rob Brydon? You’ll be guaranteed a laugh or two! Be sure to check out the Cotels serviced apartments we have available in Northampton so you can end your night out on a luxury high.
He’s behind you!
A firm favourite for all of the family (especially mum and dad!) is the annual pantomime trip.
This year, The Lighthouse Theatre in Kettering will be showing Snow White and The Seven Dwarfs from 8th-31st December and will have Eastenders star Matt Lapinskas and Emmerdale star Natasha Gray starring in lead roles. Who really is the fairest of them all? Pantomimes are all around, so find one local to you!
