There’s nothing more homely than a decorated Christmas tree or a carved pumpkin! Try heading to a local farm for a seasonal day of pumpkin picking, which you can then carve to your heart’s content. Whilst a big Christmas tree may be too much effort, plenty of companies like Bloom and Wild offer mini desktop Christmas trees, with a selection of small decorations. Even better, the real trees can be planted once you’re finished with them. For warmer months, consider decorating your apartment with bright and bold flowers!
Display photos of loved ones
No matter what your reason is for staying in our serviced apartments, photos of loved ones go a long way when you’re away from home. Our apartments offer plenty of space to display them – or, if you’re old school, bring a photo album with you! If you’re staying on business and working from home a lot, consider filling up your laptop screensaver with photos too.
Light some candles
Smelling your favourite candles is a sure-fire way to feel at home or be transported back to memories of loved ones. Although we offer a weekly maid service that leaves your apartment fresh and clean, lighting a candle can help give it that cosy feel. At this time of year, you can find plenty of autumn candles in the shops, with scents like spiced pumpkin, cinnamon, or wild fig.
Experiment with cosy throws and cushions
Our apartments come fully furnished (and are stylish!) but we know everyone has their own individual tastes. Consider purchasing some fluffy cushions in the style of your choice and some soft, cosy throws for the colder days. Nothing makes you feel more at home than snuggling up beneath a cosy blanket and watching your favourite Netflix series or reading a good book!
