As the only house in England designed by Charles Rennie Mackintosh, this award-winning attraction is home to art galleries, design shops, and a boutique restaurant. However, the house itself is beautiful and holds a lot of history, as many people visit to marvel at the house’s design and architecture. The house is also home to various events throughout the year.

Milton Keynes Museum, Milton Keynes
Housed in a former Victorian farmstead, the Milton Keynes Museum has plenty to see and do to help you learn all about the history of the city and its countryside. Inside, you’ll find plenty of vintage trams, tractors, and more – as well as a street filled with historic local shop fronts.

Mr Mulligan’s, Milton Keynes
UV lights, odd creatures, and magical forests combine for this unique crazy golf course. With two 12-hole courses to choose from, this indoor magical forest is a lot of fun for families of all ages. There’s also a cafe and bar on site. Oh, and if you do manage to catch a warm day outside this winter, there’s also an outdoor pirate-themed course too.

Northampton and Lamport Railway, Northampton
Is there anything better than travelling on a cosy train on a cold winter day? What if the train was an old, historic heritage train? You can do just that at Northampton and Lamport Railway, which allows you to ride 15 miles alongside the Brampton Valley Way. There’s also a cafe, gift shop, and second-hand bookshop you can visit too.

Snozone at Xscape, Milton Keynes
Embrace the cold weather and enjoy fun snow sports at Snozone this winter. Choose from skiing or snowboarding lessons, or simply family sledging for the little ones. There’s also a bar and restaurant within the Snozone, or a selection of other fun activities in the Xscape, including bowling, escape rooms, and a board game bar.

Trapp’d Escape Rooms, Northampton
Fancy putting your mind to the test? Trapp’d Northampton has two escape rooms: End of the Line and The Lost Temple of Yumiko, where you’ll be trapped in a room for 60 minutes and left to your own devices to try and escape.
